Donegal Bay Waterbus
within 5km of the North West Trail
Take a one and a half hour cruise aboard a luxurious 64-seater cruiser taking in one of the most historical and scenic areas of Ireland.
From the waterbus you can see Donegal Abbey (a 15 Century Franciscan Abbey), Magherbeg Abbey (ruins of a 15 Century Friary), Ballyboyle (former seat of the O'Boyle clan), Hassans (an embarking point for passenger ships to Canada and North America up to the early 19 Century), Saint Ernan's where one can view the famine causeway, Murvagh (home of the famous Donegal Golf Links), a seal colony where seals playfully surround the waterbus and scenic views of the Bluestack mountains.
The Bus itself is powered by a 240hp jet engine; this jet engine smoothly propels the waterbus around Donegal Bay.
